Abstract

This article examines the issue of teaching phraseological units to 7th-grade students through a cognitive-pragmatic approach. Grounded in the anthropocentric paradigm of language learning, the study determines the role of phraseological units as complex linguistic structures that form concepts, convey national-cultural information, and activate figurative thinking. Based on the 7th-grade textbook, methodological recommendations are proposed to enhance learners’ cognitive abilities and pragmatic competence.
