Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement (COPE Standards)

The international scientific electronic journal "Til zhane kogam" strictly complies with the standards established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), and the Singapore Statement on Research Integrity.

1. Authors' Responsibilities

  • Originality & Anti-Plagiarism: Authors must submit only entirely original work. Any form of plagiarism, redundant publication, or data falsification is strictly prohibited. The required originality rate is at least 70–75% (similarity index max 25–30%).
  • Authorship Criteria: Authorship must be limited to individuals who made a substantial intellectual contribution to the concept, execution, or interpretation of the study. "Guest" or "gift" authorship is prohibited. A valid ORCID iD is mandatory for all authors.
  • Single Submission: Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behavior.
  • Funding Disclosure: All financial support (grants, institutional funding) must be explicitly acknowledged in the Acknowledgements section.

2. Artificial Intelligence (AI & LLM) Policy

Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs such as ChatGPT) do not satisfy authorship criteria. When AI tools are used for coding, calculations, or data analysis, their application must be transparently documented in the Methods section. Unedited machine translations are rejected.

3. Reviewers' Ethical Duties

  • Confidentiality: Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents.
  • Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively, offering constructive and scholarly feedback without personal criticism.
  • Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must decline to evaluate any manuscript where competitive, collaborative, or other conflicts of interest exist.

4. Editors' Responsibilities & Retraction Policy

  • Editorial Independence: Decisions to accept or reject papers are guided solely by the research's academic merit, relevance, and validity, without regard to the authors' citizenship, gender, or institutional status.
  • Article Retraction: In cases of proven scientific misconduct, data fabrication, or major plagiarism, the editorial office will issue a formal retraction following COPE Retraction Guidelines.
